Why the rating matters.
iCIRT is the independent Construction Industry Rating Tool, run by the global ratings agency Equifax and backed by the NSW Government. It rates developers and builders from one to five stars on whether they can be trusted to deliver safe, quality, compliant buildings.
It was created to restore confidence after a wave of apartment defects. Most developers are not rated at all, and only those scoring three gold stars or higher are listed publicly. Leadmark is rated four.
Character, capability, conduct, capacity and capital. For buyers, investors and financiers, this provides greater confidence in the people, systems, capital structure and conduct behind delivery.
